They’re practical, easy to install and extremely versatile. We use them to hang our coats, bags, scarves, to organize our jewelry and to keep things off the floor and easily accessible. We’re talking about wall hooks and their ability to adapt to a variety of different decors and settings. The simple and basic ones are nothing to be impressed by but there are also some interesting designs that stand out each in its own special way.
An old-fashioned printer’s cabinet makes a great credenza. This one from Go Home has an eclectic feel and would be great in an office or a family room.
Initially, a credenza used to be a furniture piece on which food that needed to be tested for poison was kept. This was a ritual done before serving important people and aristocrats. Back then, the credenza had no legs. More modern designs such as the one for the Blade Credenza, show a few design transformations. This one has large doors made from a single board of elm wood and brass door pulls. It sits on a steel frame plated in antique brass and this offers it a slim figure.
