Initially, a credenza used to be a furniture piece on which food that needed to be tested for poison was kept. This was a ritual done before serving important people and aristocrats. Back then, the credenza had no legs. More modern designs such as the one for the Blade Credenza, show a few design transformations. This one has large doors made from a single board of elm wood and brass door pulls. It sits on a steel frame plated in antique brass and this offers it a slim figure.
The Undergrowth Collection is a series composed of side tables and stools made from a combination of wood and resin. The logs used by alcarol to create these pieces are retrieved from the undergrowth of the Italian Dolomite mountains and they are cast in resin together with their bark and native plants. This way their beauty is preserved and immortalized to be admired and appreciated in the future.
The modules can be combined in a lot of different ways. In a way, they are similar to Lego bricks and they offer the use plenty of flexibility in terms of form and the angle at which they are displayed.
