The glass top is not meant to be the center of attention in the case of the Parobol table. The top is actually meant to be as simple and as transparent as possible in order to highlight the sculptural beauty of the base. The base is made from thermo-formed Corian and the glass top touches it in three small points, appearing to be floating.
We’ll remain in the sphere of seating units made of tree stumps and we’ll continue with these beautiful benches and stools that combine wood and metal in a seamless manner. This is a series designed by Hilla Shamia, called Wood Casting. The elements included are made by inserting lengths of tree trunk into a mould and filling the gaps with molten metal.
Even though they’re very simple, the dot hooks are also intriguing in a really nice way. They’re made of reclaimed wood which is aged and sanded in order to enhance and highlight the natural grain, knots and natural imperfections. The hooks come in sets of three and they add a graphical and playful look to spaces such as the entryway.
